A Clinton White House Millennium commission, Stephen transformed this derelict waterfront site to a permanent freeform central plaza.
Sited within a vast public park, two oblique spires emerge from a meadow berm. Sculpture is built of gabions filled with local-quarried golden-hued stone.
Collaboration is key. Stephen has worked with artists, directors, designers and venues including Moscow Circus, Phillipe Petit, Paris Opera and more.
A gesture to the community’s effort to restore their native creek. Steel pipe is peeled open to catch rain and carry it to an underground cistern.
