Apparently situated in a park landscape, FROZEN RIVER is actually mounted on the roof of a LEED Certified underground building. The artwork is a gesture to the native glacial and prairie landscape and its people. The sculpture expresses the raw physicality and human spirit that chose to settle this glacial arctic plain. Ten tons of stone and steel loops across the horizon, defying gravity like a frozen river.
